Stephanie and Lara started The Denizens Theater Company in 2017—dedicated to silenced voices taking center stage.
Inspired by the electric hum of our home, The Denizens Collective celebrates the stories of New York City, especially from those on the margins. We fiercely love on our interwoven communities by teaming up with small businesses and nurturing local artists, collaboratively creating authentic narratives that spark conversation. We champion deeper connection and a greater understanding of our neighbors, interrogating the intricate systems that govern our lives and unfucking the travesty of white supremacy-steeped society.
